Synopsis taken from Goodreads :
The rules: no kissing on the mouth, no staying the night, no telling anyone, and above all… No falling in love.
Anna Jones just wants to finish college and figure out her life. Falling for star quarterback Drew Baylor is certainly not on her to do list. Confident and charming, he lives in the limelight and is way too gorgeous for his own good. If only she could ignore his heated stares and stop thinking about doing hot and dirty things with him. Easy right?
Too bad he’s committed to making her break every rule…
Football has been good to Drew. It’s given him recognition, two National Championships, and the Heisman. But what he really craves is sexy yet prickly Anna Jones. Her cutting humor and blatant disregard for his fame turns him on like nothing else. But there’s one problem: she’s shut him down. Completely.
That is until a chance encounter leads to the hottest sex of their lives, along with the possibility of something great. Unfortunately, Anna wants it to remain a hook up. Now it’s up to Drew to tempt her with more: more sex, more satisfaction, more time with him. Until she’s truly hooked. It’s a good thing Drew knows all about winning.
All’s fair in love and football…Game on.

“Force it and you’ll lose. Patience and persistence is how you win in life. Take your time, look for the solution, and if it doesn’t come to you, fall back, reassess, and try again.”
Anna and Drew are both in the same class. Anna has always known who “Battle Baylor” is. Who wouldn’t? He is someone from the football team! Definitely girls threw themselves at him, worship the ground he walked on. He is like a religion to these women. Apart from him being a member of football team, Drew is ridiculously hot too *Fansself*
What about Drew? He noticed her when she came late to class. Since the moment he laid his eyes on her, talked to her. He couldn’t stop thinking about her, like ever.
One night changes everything
There is a party held somewhere off-campus. Drew is there (Of course he is! He is a football player!!). Anna was dragged by her bff, Iris (Iris is dating a lacrosse player from school).
After this event, Drew find it harder to get over Anna. He wants her, badly. And she wants him badly too. The right word would be crave for one another.
Will they remain “Friends with benefits”?
Will they become more than that?
Anna fears relationship, she was raised believing love is not real. Love itself is unrealistic. Her perspectives on love makes her frigid. I think the word ‘frigid’ is too strong, more like anxious . Drew Baylor lives his life the opposite way. He believes in love. He grew up watching his parents love one another dearly. He is not your typical bad boy/womanizer/playboy, he is your tortured hero. He loves his parents dearly, the amount of times he mentioned his parents is just WOW. Boy, you were raised right! “If a boy does not love his parents, do you think he can love you?” This is a question I have been pondering from times to times. I think I have the Shakespearean blood in me
Their relationship development is great, it starts perfectly at the right pace. There are so many cute moments between them, I turned sappy-mushy. Too many ‘Awws’ because its just that sweeeet!!!!!!
Drew “Battle” Baylor
“My mother once told me that the most important moment in my life wouldn’t be when I won the National Championship or even the Super Bowl. It would be when I fell in love.
Drew is : 6’4”, golden brown eyes, hot, fit, sexy body
Drew is lonely, he missed his parents. To him football is everything. It gives him a reason to live, something you look for. Drew is a football player, a quarterback , every women threw themselves at him. They don’t mind the ‘one-night-stand’ as long as they get to taste him. He is living the life most guys want (I said most not all, kays?), women, party, fame. But, he actually feels lonely. Anna is there to complete the missing hole in his heart. But, will she stay forever?
“But my home isn’t a place anymore. I’ve realized too late that it’s a person.”
Anna is : Pretty, luscious, classic looks of a vintage pin-up girl, ridiculously smart
Anna is super insecure of herself, she hates spotlight. She does not want to be the main attention. There are so many reasons why she hates being the center of attention. I pity Anna, people can be so effin mean, giving names and what not. Everyone goes to this phase in highschool or college years or even workplace, where labeling is a way to communicate. Like calling someone “Fat pig”, “Red face” — “Guys, you know what the fat pig and red face did today?” <- This is something that I cannot tolerate, especially when that someone has nothing to do with you or even know you exist. You just labelled people, because you think its cool and funny. When in reality is not, it kills someone’s self-esteem. Or they become depressed just by thinking of the labeling given.
Overall, I love this book so much. Recently, I rarely give books 5 stars, because I can’t really feel it. As for this book, I CAN FEEL THE LOVE, THE CONNECTION! ❤
We’ll be each other’s home
